Maxim Lando received international acclaim when, at age 14, global piano sensation Lang Lang chose him to play the left hand of his music when he incurred an injury. Described as a "dazzling fire-eater" (ARTS San Francisco) and a "pianist who dares to do things not considered by others" (ConcertNet, The Classical Music Network), Lando was lauded by critic Anthony Tommasini in The New York Times as displaying "brilliance and infectious exuberance." Named Musical America’s "New Artist of the Month" in January 2020, Lando was awarded the 2021-22 Vendome Grand Prize, the prestigious 2020 Gilmore Young Artist Award and First Prize at the 2018 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. At 16, Lando’s sold-out debuts at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center were hailed by The New York Times as a concert "you won’t want to miss!"
