"Call My Name, Clemson: The Play" the next step in the groundbreaking research project about the lives of African Americans in Clemson University history. Based on the work of Calhoun Lemon Professor of Literature in the Department of English, Rhonda Thomas, entitled " Call My Name, Clemson: Documenting the Black Experience in an American University Community" this stage adaption tells the stories of seven generations of African Americans, both freed and enslaved, who contributed to the University's history. This stage adaption is a collaboration between Dr. Rhonda Thomas, Clemson University's College of Architecture Arts and Humanities and Tectonic Theater Project, a New York-based production company founded and directed by Moises Kaufman. This performance will showcase three selections from the play, followed by a time of audience response.
